Has your site just gone live?

Create a Press Release announcing the launch of your new site. Ask a student to write a thought-piece about why they are excited for it. Ask your staff to talk about all the great programs and resources you have within the context of the new site launch. Post this in your school newspaper and on your university's general website to increase exposure! 

Press Releases can be short and sweet, meant only to convey the most vital information up front, with links to your website. The point here, is to not overwhelm students with a large chunk of text, but encourage them to read through it by making it easily digestible. Consider a catchy headline, images, and prominent buttons or other calls-to-action that will be memorable for students and entice them to explore further.
