Having an accurate and dynamic list of subscribers in your platform is one of the best ways to maintain high levels of engagement with your platform. An accurate subscriber list means that you can send relevant, one-off custom emails to your stakeholders or enable automated alerts so that they are regularly receiving the best content for them direct to their inbox.
With the ability to upload lists of subscribers any day, at any time, there are endless possibilities for the ways that you can use your subscribers as a marketing tool to promote your office's work and resources. Using the subscriber upload tool, you can pre-subscribe a user to a certain community and then send all subscribers associated with that community an email using your Custom Email functionality.
Below are just some of the many ways that you can leverage subscriber lists, by stakeholder:
Students:
Upload a list of your students each semester and pre-tag them to a Career Community based on their major, as well as set them to receive weekly automated alerts. This way they can receive fresh, relevant content directly to their inbox (and, you can encourage them to customize their own preferences further!)
After a webinar, add a new Community under Manage > Communities with the webinar title. Then, upload the list of attendees / registrants and subscribe them to that Community. From there, you can navigate to Engage > Emails > Custom Emails and email just that population of students a webinar recording, resources from the event and more!
Ready to remove that tag from the subscribers? Re-upload the same list, but instead of using the 'Add' or 'Update' action, use the 'Remove Tag' option to clear that tag from the subscriber's preferences.
Alumni:
For recent alumni, if you have a list of those who have not yet completed your First Destination Survey, you can add a new Community for tracking, then email the alumni to encourage them to share where they've landed.
For other alumni, make sure that they are added under the Alumni user type, and email them as a collective to promote your alumni services, job postings or opportunities for them to get involved and support current students by networking, interviewing or more.
Employers:
Add a list of your top employers as the Employer user type to share with them events that you're hosting that they could participate in, opportunities for them to speak directly with your students, and job placement information.
Curate your employers further and upload list of those who are participating in a career fair. Pre-subscribe them to a tag associated with that event so that you can keep them up to date with all the details that they need to succeed with their interviewing and hiring goals.
Prospective Students:
Upload a list of your admitted students to encourage them to stop by your office on admitted students day to learn about all that you have to offer.
Faculty / Staff:
Make sure that your faculty champions have a specific Community Tag so that you can share key information about your office's happenings for them to support your efforts. Update this list regularly to add more faculty who are involved in career services.
