Under the Manage section of your uConnect platform, you can create additional Calendars to further segment and organize your Events in your platform.

How to create a new Calendar

To create a new Calendar, navigate to your Manage section and within it, click on "Calendars," and then "Add New." This also where you can edit existing Calendars.

Pro Tip: We recommend basing your Calendars on Audience/Stakeholder groups, such as Students, Alumni, Employers, etc. so you can organize events into one Calendar for that particular audience.

Assign Events to a Calendar

Now that your Calendar is created, you can assign specific Events to this Calendar. To do this, navigate to Publish>Events, choose an Event and select "Edit," and then from the "Calendars" dropdown select the corresponding Calendar. Be sure to save your changes by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking "Save."

Change which Calendar displays on the Front Page

You may have Events appearing on your Front Page header/banner image, and if you do, you have the ability to change which Calendar of events appears there.

To update this, navigate to Customize>Settings>Frontpage, and then for the "Events Calendar" field, you can select which Calendar you'd like to use for the Front Page from the dropdown menu.

Assign Handshake RSS Feeds to Calendars

If you would like to assign specific Handshake Event RSS feeds that you've submitted to us and we've uploaded to your uConnect platform, we can re-assign that feed to a specific Calendar that you've created.

We have to make that update for you, so please submit a support request here.

Otherwise, if you're hoping to add new Handshake Event RSS feeds to your uConnect platform, then please submit them to our form and leave a note for us about which Calendar you'd like to assign to the feed.
