With any menu, you have the option to add items to that menu. Doing so only takes a few quick steps, so follow along with the below!

Written Instructions for Adding a Menu Item:

1) Navigate to Customize > Menus.

2) From the Menus dashboard, confirm that you have toggled to the correct menu that you would like to update from the menus dropdown.

3) Once you have selected the menu that you would like to add an item too, select an item from the left-hand side 'Add Menu Items' area.

Here, you will have the option to either select from any given content type, content category, community or page to add, or you can use the 'Custom Links' option to type out a unique URL, either to an external site, or to the landing page of a content type (example: you can type in /videos to link to your Videos landing page!)

Please note: When possible, we highly recommend using the Custom Links field only for external links or in the example given above. In all other scenarios, to prevent broken links, you should use the provided menu item options.

4) Select 'Add to Menu.'

5) Drag the menu item to wherever you would like it to appear within the given menu.

This article walks through further customizations of menu appearance, beyond arranging the order.

5) Hit 'Save Menu!'

Pro tip: If too many menu items are added, your menu may automatically adjust to have a hamburger navigation that requires a user to click on it to see all of the menu options available. We recommend having no more than 5 - 7 main menu items to avoid this scenario, so that your menus are always as easy to navigate as possible!
