When adding or editing menus, you have the option to adjust your 'screen options.' These screen options are, by default, a reflection of all of the different content that you can add to your menu. These will include: any content types that you have access to, their corresponding content categories, any Community Pages that you have access to, Pages and custom links.

Customizing screen options can be done on a user by user basis, and these options allow you to tailor the options that you will have to add menu items. By refining screen options, you can make it even easier to get the right content added into your menu, where it can be easily found and engaged with by your users!

Let's walk through the process together of adjusting screen options, reviewing where and what they are:

1) Navigate to Customize > Menus from your dashboard.

2) Once in the Menus area, expand the 'Screen Options' tab that appears in the top right corner of your screen.

As you can see here, once screen options are expanded, the 'Screen elements' area will reflect the content types that you have active on your platform, as well as various other options.

The 'Show advanced menu properties' area should not need to be used.

3) From here, you can check or uncheck the various options that you see. Any checked items will appear under the 'Add Menu Items' section on the left-hand side of your menu area.

It's as easy as that to tailor what appears under 'Add Menu Items.' Remember, your screen options can be adjusted at any point to make it as easy as possible to add new menu items to a menu.
