Many clients perform accessibility audits on their VCC platform. We strive for our VCC product to be compliant with accessibility guidelines and best practices. However, client customizations, formatting, and content can also introduce accessibility defects.

1.1.1 Non-text Content:
All non-text content that is presented to the user has a text alternative that serves the equivalent purpose

Add alt text to any non-decorative images. If the image is decorative, this may be a false flag.

1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum):
The visual presentation of text and images of text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1

Check the color contrast in the affected area and make changes to the content or menu with the defect.

2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide:
For moving, blinking, scrolling, or auto-updating information, all of the following are true [...]

Use a single hero banner instead of multiple banners as a carousel/slider.

2.4.6 Headings and Labels:
Headings and labels describe topic or purpose

Don't use different levels of headings for formatting! Use the Block Editor to apply larger font sizes as needed. Headings should use a hierarchical order, like a document outline.

Link Missing A Text Alternative

If your link is around an image, make sure the image has alt text.

If your link is within a post or page, remove or edit any empty links.

If your link is within a template area, make sure that all posts have titles.

If you've discovered an issue that requires remediation, please read this article FIRST to understand an accessibility ticket instead of a general support ticket so that we can route your issue to the right team members.
