uConnect partnered with Lightcast to bring real-time Labor Market Data and job opportunities straight into your virtual career center. The LMI module allows users to learn more about potential careers by seeing employment trends, salary data, required skills, core tasks and more for any given occupation. The Job Search Module (JSM) allows users to search the Lightcast database for job opportunities nationwide.

There are two different ways you can present this data on your uConnect platform, if you are a user of either the Labor Market Insights Module or JOb Search Module.

1) Through a standalone page linked in your main navigation

2) Embedded through a widget within Communities

An example of a standalone page is shown below. Note that with the standalone page, users can filter career data by searching for keywords, or by filtering for an industry or occupation.

An example of a widget feeding into a Community alongside other career content is shown below:

With the LMI widget embedded within Communities, users are able to select an industry, and then occupation. With the widget embedded within Communities, you also have the option to only display specific industries as an option in the dropdown.

With the JSM widget, users will see a wide range of jobs appearing based on the way that you have curated the widget. This widget can also display only jobs associated with specific industries.

To update either your LMI or JSM widget, navigate to Manage>Communities and then select the Community where you would like to refine what data displays. Select 'Edit' on the given Community, then scroll to the 'Labor Market Insights / Job Search Module' mapping area, as seen below.

Here, you can edit, for just that Community, which data you would like to display. You can select from either the list of "Career Clusters" or "Pathways" to refine the data.

For example, if you have an Arts and Business Community, and only want data related to this topic displaying on that Community, you can have industries that are only related to this appear, as shown below:
