The most engaging blogs have clear themes so that users can quickly navigate to the content in which they're interested. Examples of themes could include 'Alumni Success Stories', 'Internship Reviews', or 'Faculty Insights'.

You can create these themes for your own blog by using Content Categories. (Check out this article for step-by-step instructions on how to set up Content Categories.)

One of the most successful themes we've seen in use by uConnect community members is 'Student Success Stories'. This theme often follows a question and answer format for each post, and highlights a different student as they discuss past internships, classes, experiential opportunities, or other key experiences in their academic career.

Pick a format and stick to it.
It's important to find a format that works and stick to it within each theme. This increases consistency and ensures that users always know what they're getting when the open a post within that theme.

Use consistent imagery.
It's an added bonus if all of your blogs within a certain theme have similar images. This will make your post appear sharp, credible, and appealing for users, all of which will help drive engagement with your content.

Collect student stories using the guest contributor feature.
It's easy to start a new blog feed when you can rally the support of your community! Encourage students, faculty, alumni, or whomever you'd like to feature in your new blog themes to submit content through the guest contributor portal.

As always, if you're having trouble getting started, please feel free to reach out to our Support Team.
