How to export videos from Candid Career+

Learn how to export a csv file of your videos so you can better organize them throughout your Candid Career+ platform.

Exporting information about your Candid Career Plus videos into a CSV file can help you organize, analyze, and manage your content effectively. Follow the below instructions to download video details, including tags, authors, publication dates, and more.


Video Walkthrough

Step 1: Log in to Your Candid Career+ Platform

  1. Navigate to your Candid Career+ platform.

  2. Click the Sign In button in the top-right corner.

  3. Once signed in, click Back to Dashboard to access your admin dashboard.


Step 2: Access the Video Section

  1. From the dashboard, click Publish in the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Videos from the dropdown menu.


Step 3: Decide What to Export

  • Determine the scope of your export.

    • Filtered Export: Choose to export videos based on specific category tags or communities (e.g., arts, technology).

    • Full Export: Export all videos without applying filters.

Filter Example

  1. To filter by community, select a Community tag such as Arts Career Community from the filter options.

  2. This will limit the export to videos tagged to the selected community.


Step 4: Export the CSV File

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  2. Locate the Export Video button in the bottom-left corner.

  3. Click the button to initiate the export.

    • A pop-up notification will appear in your browser, confirming the CSV file download.


Step 5: Review the CSV File

  1. Open the downloaded CSV file using a spreadsheet application (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).

  2. The file will include the following details for each video:

    • Title

    • Author (who published the video)

    • Publication Date

    • Category

    • Communities (including videos tagged in multiple communities)

    • Status (e.g., published or pending)

    • Video URLs


Step 6: Utilize the Exported Data

  • Use the data to:

    • Reorganize or re-tag videos for better accessibility.

    • Identify outdated videos for removal.

    • Update video tags to align with new content strategies.

    • Enhance the visibility of videos in specific locations on your platform.


By following these steps, you can easily export and review video information, enabling better content management and improved user experiences for your students and stakeholders.
