Here are some exciting yet important product updates our Product and Engineering teams have made to your uConnect platform recently:

Students now receive more personalized responses based on their class year, community memberships, and content preferences.
The classic search results page now features a banner promoting AI Search, giving students another way to discover it.
Stale contact information and outdated community post content are now automatically kept up to date.
A pre-streaming issue where the agent started talking before finding relevant content has been fixed, resulting in cleaner responses and more visibility into which search tools are being used.
Improved content categorization helps the assistant better understand whether a question is about jobs, events, or career topics.
A vulnerability that could have allowed abuse of the rate limiter has been closed.

For clients with the Labor Market Insights (LMI) tool, AI Search can now surface salary ranges, employment projections, in-demand skills, and top employers for a given career — all tailored to the student's geographic area.
AI Search career data results link directly to the school's LMI page with the correct occupation and location pre-selected.
Schools that restrict their LMI pages to logged-in users, SSO users, etc. will have those same restrictions respected in AI Search.

The header search field now keeps its label and icon visible while typing, improving accessibility and usability for keyboard and screen reader users.

A configuration issue that caused emails to bounce for some clients has been identified and fixed; all existing client email accounts have been audited and corrected where needed.
New diagnostic tools help the support team verify email settings before problems reach students.

A critical SSO library has been upgraded to address multiple high-severity vulnerabilities.
A third-party penetration test was supported and findings documented for follow-up.
Silent SSO login — allowing students already signed into their university portal to be automatically authenticated on the platform without additional steps — is currently under evaluation. We created a feasibility report to determine technical viability and implementation requirements.
Foundational work to bring Labor Market Insights into AI Search is complete — including the MCP ability registrar, data normalization adapter, tool allow-list with system-prompt routing, citation deep-linking, and LMI page visibility restrictions — not launched yet, but ready to go live soon!
Local development environments have been upgraded to WordPress 7.0 and we’ve been preparing enhancements for its launch, such as new themed font options in the Block Editor and small fixes to the dashboard experience.
