How to Hide Recent Posts from Your Staff Page

By default, published blog posts from staff members display as "Recent Posts" on your team page. This article walks through how to hide those posts to simplify your team page, along with two related settings you can customize along the way: displaying advising categories and editing the "Schedule an Appointment" button text.

By default, if a team member on your staff (or "Meet the Team") page has published blog posts, those posts automatically display underneath their contact information on the right side of their profile, under a "Recent Posts" section. If you'd like to simplify your team page and remove this information, you can turn this setting off.

Steps to Hide Recent Posts

Video walkthrough

  1. From your dashboard, click Publish, then Pages.
  2. Search for your team page using the search bar at the top, or locate it directly in your pages list.
  3. Click on the page to open the editing area.
  4. Scroll down until you see your staff members listed as Users. Directly beneath this, you'll find an option called Hide Recent Posts.
  5. Check this box.
  6. Click Save.

Once saved, recent posts will no longer display on your team page.

Good to Know: Related Settings

While you're in this area of the page editor, there are a couple of other related settings worth knowing about:

  • Display Advising Categories — If your users have advising categories (such as career communities) set in their user profile, you can choose to display these on the team page.
  • Schedule an Appointment button — If your users have a "Schedule an Appointment" link set up so students can book time with them online, you can customize the call-to-action language on that button. It defaults to "Schedule an Appointment," but you can modify it to whatever wording fits your team.
