Organize events with user-specific calendars:

Segmentation becomes increasingly important as schools use uConnect to promote events not only for students, but for employers, alumni and more.

As an admin, you can log into your uConnect dashboard to organize events for a particular calendar using the Categories link in the Events Management menu. If multiple audiences begin looking at the same calendar, managing categories can become difficult. Creating unique calendars for each audience group is a great way to help your stakeholders stay organized and engaged. 

If you'd like to create a unique calendar for a user type, under the Manage tab in the left-hand side menu of your dashboard, click on Calendars. There, you can add, edit or delete calendars.

In the list of calendars, you can see the URL extension and the count (# of events posted in that calendar).

Once you've added another calendar, you can see a drop down on the Manage Events page to see events for each calendar.

When you're posting a new event in the Add New Event page, you'll be able to select which calendar you'd like to post to from a drop down menu in the form.

To promote the calendars, you can hover over the calendar you wish to post in the Calendars page and click View to visit that calendar page and find the URL. Once you have the URL, you can promote it in blog posts, emails and social media campaigns!
