Why Events Show as "Pending" and How to Publish Them

Summary This article explains why events may appear with a "Pending" status and how to manage their visibility using available admin actions.

Why an event shows as "Pending"

  • Events that have pulled in from an integration source (for example, Handshake or Symplicity) can appear in pending if the integration is not set to 'autopublish' and instead is feeding events into a pending bucket for the team to review first before publishing
    • If you'd like to explore changing your integration settings to autopublish (automatically pull events onto the front end instead of feeding into the pending section), please feel free to open a ticket with our Support Team
  • Events can appear in pending (versus archived) if they have not yet occurred

How to manage visibility of events

Navigate to the Publish>Events area of the dashboard

  • Select the 'pending' section of events
  • Click into an event of your choosing
  • Scroll to the bottom of the event to update the event's status and 'Publish' once ready

Troubleshooting steps

  • If events expected to be visible are listed in Pending, please reach out to the Support Team by opening up a new ticket
