Editing content with the legacy editor:

Within pages and Communities, for those of you that have the legacy editor on your platforms, you will have the option to format text using a custom formatting tool bar that looks like the below:

As you can see in the above image, this tool bar is located in the legacy editor directly above the description section in a page or Community, and can be found when navigating to Manage>Communities and selecting any existing Community, or Publish>Pages, and clicking an existing custom page.

The purpose of this tool bar is to help you organize information in a clear and easy-to-manage way for front-end users.

Elements of the tool bar:

Some of the key elements of this toolbar, from left to right, include:

B: The 'B' button allows you to bold any text you've selected

I: The 'I' option lets you italicize selected information

U: 'U' allows users to underline specific text

Editing content with the block editor:

If you have the block editor enabled on your platform, a toolbar will appear after double clicking paragraph text you've added into a description section, of a page or Community like the below:

You'll notice that you still have the option above to bold and italicize text. However, through the block editor, there are even more options available to you when updating text. Additional settings for these customization options through the block editor can be found by expanding the right sidebar of a page as you're editing content:

Here, like in the above screenshot, you'll have the ability to choose the size and even color of your text.
