Why This Matters

Tagging your blog posts correctly ensures they appear in the intended community or blog category, making it easier for the right audience to find and engage with your content. Without proper tagging, your post may not be visible where you expect it to be.

How to Tag Your Blog to a Relevant Community

By default, community pages automatically pull in tagged content. To ensure your blog post appears:

  1. Scroll to the ‘Communities’ section in the blog editor.

  2. Assign at least one Audience, Content Category, and Community tag to ensure proper publishing.

  3. Select the appropriate tags—they will turn blue.

  4. Click Publish.

Common Pitfall: Forgetting to tag all three categories (Audience, Content Category, and Community) may prevent the blog from appearing.

Use Case

💡 A student career center wants internship-related blog posts to show up under "Career Development." By properly tagging the post with the “Career Development” community, students looking for internship guidance can easily find it.

Troubleshooting: If Your Blog Isn’t Showing Up

Check the following:

  • Missing on the Community page

Check your tags in the blog. If everything looks correct, submit a support request

  • Is there no blog content at all in the community?

The community may not be set to display blog content. Update this by:

  • Navigating to Manage > Communities in the left sidebar.

  • Clicking Edit next to the community.

  • Selecting Featured Articles (Blogs).

  • Clicking Update.

  • Does the ‘Latest News’ section say ‘Not Found’?
The blog may not be tagged correctly. Recheck the tags and, if needed, submit a support request.

How to Assign a Blog to a Specific Blog Category

Follow the same tagging process for blog categories. If you don’t see a category that fits:

  • Create a new category. Learn more in our Manage Content Communties article.
