Use AI Search Context to Make Hidden or Embedded Content Discoverable

This article explains the AI Search Context field, a hidden meta field available on blog posts, resource posts, and pages that lets you feed AI Search extra information about content it can't otherwise "see," like embedded iframes, PDFs, or attached Word documents.

AI Search does a great job reading the text that's visibly on your page — but some content types are invisible to it by default. That includes:

  • Embedded iframes (Tableau, Power BI, Monday.com, etc.)
  • Embedded or attached PDFs
  • Attached Word documents

If your resource relies on one of these to convey its content, AI Search can't "read" what's inside them — even if the embed is front and center on the page. Your resource will still surface in AI Search results based on its title and any surrounding text, but without more context, it's less likely to be matched to a student's specific question.

AI Search Context solves this. It's a text box you'll find in the Meta Boxes panel when editing a blog post, resource post, or page. Anything you add there is:

  • Invisible on the live page and in the page's source code (visitors will never see or find it)
  • Readable by AI Search, as if it were regular text on the page


How to use it

  1. Under the Publish section, open the blog post, resource, or page you want to edit.
  2. Underneath the content you are editing, open the Meta Boxes panel and expand AI Search Context.
  3. Add a plain-text summary of the hidden or embedded content — key takeaways, labels, categories, or data points a student might search for.
  4. Publish or update your content as usual.

There's no need to format this text — since it's never displayed, plain text works fine.

Good to know

  • Where it's available: AI Search Context currently supports blog posts, resource posts, and pages — the three content types most likely to include embedded content. It's not yet available on Community pages or Experiences.
  • What not to include: Don't add anything sensitive or private. While it's hidden from visitors, it will be surfaced through AI Search responses.
