[Customer Training Recordings](https://support.gouconnect.com/articles/customer-training-recordings) # uConnect Show & Tell: Small Teams, Mighty Platform ## In this Show & Tell, four career services professionals who manage uConnect as a team of one or two shared how they keep their platforms fresh, useful, and growing without burning out. In this Show & Tell session, four career services professionals shared practical strategies for managing uConnect with a lean team at Berea College, Assumption University, Kansas City Kansas Community College), and La Follette School of Public Policy, UW–Madison. Each panelist walked through how they prioritize projects, build sustainable content habits, and grow their platforms over time. **Show & Tell highlights:** - **Tackle one pillar at a time:** Assumption focused on one big project each summer. They started with 75 new career resources, then built class year resources, and then built career communities. At KCKCC, the team launched with their most impactful resources first and made sure every career community had enough content to demo. - **Find a content rhythm that works for you:** Some panelists update a little every day, while others block off time for focused projects and content audits. Berea plans content ahead so they have room to jump on timely ideas, like turning a student's motion-capture internship video into a Halloween spotlight. - **Let the platform do the heavy lifting:** Panelists praised the Handshake integration and tagging for automatically getting jobs and events in front of the right students. When you update a resource once, it updates everywhere it's linked, and the external blog library keeps career community pages fresh. - **Make your platform the hub:** "All roads lead back to the website." Panelists share links instead of PDFs, add the platform to student portals, orientation, and campus signage, and use forms for workshop and interview room requests. Berea saw a 300% increase in engagement after launching uConnect. - **Scale through collaboration:** Panelists are expanding their reach in several ways. They invite employers and alumni to share content as Career Contributors, gather faculty feedback on their faculty pages, and collect short alumni career videos. - **Give yourself grace:** No platform is 100% complete at launch, and that's okay! You can mark a page as under construction, customize page titles and categories to match how students think, and let your site grow over time.
