[Platform Design](https://support.gouconnect.com/articles/platform-design) # Customize your front page settings Your front page offers a variety of customization options that help your platform feel familiar and engaging the moment users arrive. This article walks you through how to configure your banner, front page settings, and more. **Banner** To add a banner to your front page: 1. Navigate to \*\*Customize\*\* in the left-hand navigation of your dashboard. 2. Expand the section and select \*\*Banner\*\*. 3. Select \*\*Upload Image\*\* and upload a file in .jpg, .png, or .svg format. For best results, use an image that is 1600 x 460 pixels. You can also take advantage of these optional banner features: - \*\*Line:\*\* Add text directly over your banner image. - \*\*Opacity:\*\* Adjust how opaque or transparent the background behind your text appears. - \*\*Clickable Link:\*\* Make your banner image link to a URL of your choice. **Front Page Settings** To update the content displayed on your front page, go to \*\*Customize \> Front Page Settings\*\*. From here, you can: - add an alert banner to the top of your platform - use the 'Content' dropdown to decide which of your content modules to display when visitors first arrive - use the 'Content Filters' dropdown to refine which content categories you want to display for that selected content type - select from the 'Maximum Displayed Posts' how many pieces of content you'd like users to see - refine the title and CTA of this front-page content section using the respective fields \*\*Note:\*\* If your platform uses the Events module, you can also add an events overlay to your front-page banner.
