How does the scrolling sponsors widget work?
The scrolling sponsors widget is a scrolling banner of your site's tagged employer sponsors. Embed the sponsors widget directly onto your homepage for a dynamic and interactive way to showcase your employer partners:
Featuring your company sponsors on your front page is a great way to draw site visitors to some of your most valuable resources and to show off some of your corporate connections.
Interested in including the Scrolling Sponsors Widget on your pages?
First, be sure to tag your employer partners as "Sponsors." Begin by navigating to your Dashboard, then select Publish in the sidebar menu. Hover over Employers & Jobs, then select Employers.
From here, you'll be able to see a list of your center's published employer profiles. Click on the featured employer, navigate to the "Sponsor/Partner" field and toggle to "Yes."
Finally, be sure to set your sponsor to "NEVER" expire at the very bottom under the "Publish" section.
Be sure to save these changes by clicking on the "Update" button.
Once you've labelled all featured employers as "Sponsors," please submit a Support Request to add the Sponsorship Ribbon to your homepage. We'll take care of the rest, and let you know when your platforms been updated!
Remember: you cannot add new widgets or edit existing widgets yourself, just like in this case, but you can control which employer logos appear in the scrolling widget by tagging them as sponsors, as explained above!
Why is this widget scrolling for me and not other users?
This is an accessibility feature if those users have a system setting on their computer that indicates they prefer reduced motion — it's designed for people who get headaches, feel dizzy, are overwhelmed by, or just prefer not to have animations on screen. When a user turns this on, their browser picks it up and passes it along to websites.
Our Sponsors widget auto-scrolls through logos using an animation. When the browser signals "this user prefers reduced motion," we skip the animation and display a manual scrollbar instead.

- Windows: Settings → Accessibility → Visual effects → Animation effects (toggle off = reduced motion on)
- Mac: System Settings → Accessibility → Display → Reduce motion
- iOS: Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion
