[Technical Configurations](https://support.gouconnect.com/articles/technical-configurations) # Deindex a page from Google search results Deindexing is the process of requesting that Google remove a specific page from its search results. You may need to deindex a page on your uConnect platform when its content is no longer accurate, or when you want to prevent the general public from finding it through Google Search. Even after you’ve removed a page or Community on your uConnect platform, Google doesn’t delete results instantly; it can take days or even weeks for Google to recrawl the page and register its removal. Deindexing allows you to expedite this process so the page disappears from search results sooner. To request that Google deindex a page on your uConnect platform, use the [Google Search Console Removals tool](https://search.google.com/search-console/remove-outdated-content) to submit a removal request for pages that are no longer published.
